The Palm Coast Chapter of the FWA was formed in July of 2010 by authors Jeff Swesky and Michael Ray King.
The meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month at 10:00 A.M. at Mike’s ClearView Press Inc. office, which is located 405 North State Street, Bunnell, FL 32110. Phone: (386) 290-6908.

“Knowledge days” are held on the fourth Saturday, and entail guest speakers or other education about writing better and getting paid for your work.
“Critiquing days” are held on the second Saturday, and entail members submitting up to five pages (approximately 1500 words or less) to the Yahoo Group, where all members can download and read at their leisure. Submissions should be made by the first Saturday. Members may bring in printouts for the rest of the group to read, but we’d prefer using the online tools whenever practical.
All new members are requested to bring a note from their mother stating why they should be allowed to fish with dynamite, and if there’s a little something about why they deserve to be part of the group, that would be a plus, but is not required.
Hey, what if I don’t like to fish with dynamite, can I still come?
I just found this association. Check out my Scribd page and one of my poems http://www.scribd.com/full/50625050?access_key=key-mbyguci7mgi0t38fx86
Of course you’re welcome to come by! Dynamite fishing is not a prerequisite, and we even have a poet or two amongst us.
Just moved to Palm Coast a little over a week ago. I’d like to come by Saturday 26th. You seem like an interesting group of characters. I have no experience dynamite fishing, nor a note from my mother, but Jeff says it’s OK to come by anyway.
Welcome to Palm Coast, Paula!! Yes, please stop by. You won’t regret it.
Thanks! Looking forward to metting y’all on Saturday.
I mean “meeting” y’all. Though “metting” could be fun too!
Hey, I forgot I wanted to “mett” with y’all (sorry Paula, I stole that one. couldn’t resist). What did I miss? I will put a schedule in my phone so I don’t forget next time.
Lisa
Hello,
I’m so glad to see a chapter in Palm Coast. Could I come by as a ‘drop in,’ even if I’m not a member?
My husband and I just co-authored ‘Energetics: The First Order,’ the first of a four book Science Fiction Thriller series, “The Four Orders of Inherent Freedom.”
And I’m hosting an author interview series, “Author’s Dialogue”–sponsored by Sirius Press, Inc.–and the kickoff is today. If you get a chance, please drop by (online) for the launch: http://bit.ly/gF3RLg
I’d love to check out your group.
All the best,
Terre
Hi Terre, congratulations on finishing your book! Yes, you’re more than welcome to stop by. Our meetings are free and open to the public. I hope to meet you soon,
Jeff
Thanks for the invitation, Jeff! I, or we, will try attend this Saturday. Exciting!
Terre
Jeff–Great to meet you last Sat. Will the Palm Coast chapter be holding a meeting this Sat.?
Susan
It was a pleasure to meet you as well, Susan. Yes, we will be having the Palm Coast chapter meeting this Saturday. The details of where and what time are on our blog’s “About” page. I’ll be out-of-town, but my co-leader, Michael Ray King, will be hosting the meeting on Saturday. Take care, Jeff
I’d like to learn more about this site, too. I didn’t know a Palm Coast Writers group existed. I just finished shipped a novel off to be published and could use all the input I can get.
I’m sorry about the typo, but don’t know how to fix it now. Everyone calls me Jerry, not Herry. OMG I’m an idiot sometimes when I am rushing.
Hi Jerry, thank you for the interest in our group. We’re going to have a terrific presentation on the 25th that I think you’ll want to hear. Hope you can make it. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

Dear Jeff and Mike,
I am so excited to have found your writers association. I love to write for fun and would love to be part of your group. I use writing as a creative outlet and am interested in listening to others ideas and sharing my own. Do you still meet on Saturdays? How does the association work? Do you have to be a professional writer?
Thank you!
Hi Maria! Yes we still meet on Saturdays. This coming Saturday at 10:00 is our critique meeting. You’re more than welcome to join us, meet some of the people, and see what we’re all about. No, you don’t need to be a professional writer and the meetings are free and open to the public. The address for the meetings is on this About page, but feel free to ask additional questions. Hope to see you on Saturday!
